22 Dec 1729 with brother Peter bought land of father, Joseph, at old
Westfield, near Baldwin's Pond, also land near Bladdens Brook, called
Indian Purchase, also two rights in land north of Lebanon Brook, called
"ye bit purchase", being original rights of Joseph2 deceased and Joseph
Garnsey "ye third" (L.R.M. Vol 11:240)

5 May 1730 bought land belonging to father Joseph3 and grandfather
Joseph2; sold to elder brother, Joseph4, between my brother Peter4 and
--- Pond and Island (ibid 7:514; 8:173).

28 April 1738 "late of Milford, now of Waterbury" (ProRec Milford) and
called the 1st known resident of "GARNSEYTOWN" in Watertown, formerly
Waterbury Twp (L.R.M. Vol 8:173)

In Oct 1738, northern inhabitants asked the Gen Church Ass. to set them
off a district "Society" which was granted and incorporated under the
name "Northbury". John GARNSEY signed petition; Samuel Todd chosen
minister and voted salary 100 pounds for the first 2 years and firewood
and 2 days work per year from each man between 16 and 60, and a
comfortable houseroom.

John GARNSEY admitted Freeman in Milford, CT, before 1739

On 1 Jan 1739, John GARNSEY, Waterbury, mentions land "that was my
Grandfather Joseph Garnsey's of Milford, now deceased; 163rd lot in'y
third shott'." (L.R.M. Vl 9:155)

Served 16 days in the French and Indian War Campaign of 1757, Capt Jacob
Whitmore's Co. of Militia, Middletown, CT (Muster Rolls of CT) 3
